The 500 Magnet is Stable for now, and the instrument is once again available for reservations. In case the vacuum fails again, the magnet could quench at any time.

PLEASE read the new signs posted in the NMR lab about what to do in the event of a quench (get out of the lab). Go the the main NMR Homepage (chemnmr.colorado.edu) and watch the YouTube Videos of NMR magnet quenches. It is important to recognize a quench is happening, and evacuate the lab quickly and efficiently.

Current Probes:  PLEASE READ THIS: 

500 NMR:  5mm NTR Probe (Proton Observe Only)  Note: No 13C or 31P... 11B decouple OK

400 NMR:  5mm ASW (1H, 19F, 31P, 13C) ...  Use the 400 for 1H, 19F, 13C and 31P

• Daytime Reservations for the 500 NMR     8:00 am to 7:00 pm.
• Daytime Reservations for the 400 NMR    NOTE: 40 min time limit for afternoons on 400 has been removed!!

• Overnight Reservations for the 500 NMR  7:00 pm to 8:00 am
• Overnight Reservations for the 400 NMR 

Ambiguity Note:  Overnight "Date" is Date of evening prior.  I.e.: "Wednesday" page is used for reserving Wednesday night through early morning Thursday.  So, if you want to reserve early morning on Thursday, you would use the Wednesday "overnight" page.
