My Brief Skydiving Biography:
As of March 2007, I have been skydiving for nearly 12 years and have
made about 800-900 skydives so far. Funny how I once thought that someone would
be interested in this stuff!! I've gone through a couple of rigs, and I
now jump a Talon-2 container with an Aerodyne, Diablo-170 main canopy.
That's me coming in for a landing, swooping the pond in Crete, NE, on the
right.
I started in the U.S.P.A. static-line program on June 1, 1996 and I received my USPA (U.S. Parachute Association) D (master) license in the summer of '97. I am a Static-Line instructor, and an experienced aerial/freefall videographer.
Since I moved to the Denver/Boulder area, I haven't been able to do nearly as much jumping. I've jumped at Drop Zones all over the USA, but my home DZ is still Crete Skydiving Center, in Crete, NE. , where I learned to skydive, and still work as a Static-Line Instructor and videographer. I was on the Board of Directors at Crete for 3 years, and I also served (for a year) as the USPA Safety and Training Advisor (S&TA) for the DropZone in Crete. I continue to take an active role in the activities at Crete Skydiving Center, as an instructor and as a camera flyer, even though it's a good 15 hours round-trip to drive back there. It's definitely worth the drive!
Blue Skies!
